RISK

Risk is Perth’s first and newest ARTillery event, delivering a multidisciplinary spectacular at Fremantle’s Bohemia Outdoor Cinema. An ensemble of Perth’s most exciting actors, musicians, dancers, visual artists and more will rehearse under the direction of Kathryn Osborne, The Duck House company director, over three intensive sessions. Come and witness the results and what promises to be a mesmerizing production that defies the boundaries of genre and speaks out against the injustices faced by Individuals at Risk. Stick around after for 'Bohemia Bliss' - the official launch party of ARTillery Perth for 2011, in conjunction with Voice Promotions. Local favourites Stillwater Giants, The Shallows, and Rachel and Henry Climb a Hill will be responding to the stories of Individuals at Risk throughout their sets.

Spoken Word

Off the back of a hugely inspiring night last year, ARTillery’s Spoken Word night is the product of our third year partnering with local wordsmiths Cottonmouth. Is there a better way to spend a Tuesday night in Perth than curling up into a couch at The Bird while Cottonmouth up-and-comers wrangle with the stories of Individuals at Risk and spit diction? I think not. You may be shocked, tear up a little, or burst into hysterical giggles – but above all, you won’t be able to tear your ears away.

Tuesday 6th Dec 2011, 7.30pm

The Bird, William Street, Northbridge

$10 on the door (incl special edition Cottonmouth zine)

MasterPEACE

MasterPEACE exhibition has evolved from a straight up art exhibition to an interactive and innovative visual exploration of the stories behind the Individuals at Risk campaign. Watch MasterPEACE creation before your very eyes, as for the first time three of our artists paint, sculpt or sketch their human rights messages as part of the exhibition’s new live art component. Many other finished works will also be on display, portraying artists’ perspectives on the issues surrounding the Individuals at Risk campaign. Attending to your sense of hearing will be acoustic sets from Amanda Merdzan and Moustache.

Friday 9th Dec 2011, 6.30pm

The Empyrean, 12 Lake Street, Northbridge
